New Game Tuesday

Another tuesday has now come and gone. I picked up a few new games over the past 2 weeks(I have indeed been putting this post off for quite sometime). Among them are Skylanders, kinect Sports: Season 2, Family Game Night 4: The Gameshow, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Sonic Generations, the new LOTR games and Battlefield 3. There are more do not fret....

I haven't sat down and poured alot of time into any of these games particularly, in fact I won't lie some I have not even played yet(I'm a horrible whore I know)...but the ones I have spent time with will be highlighted in today's post.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is a cool idea. With the toys you purchase for the game storing their levels and experience inside of them so you can easily play and level up at a friends without needing to lug everything with you. The only downside is purchasing the toys themselves at 7.99 or 19.99 a 3 pack. Some people have been playing with the toys still in package and returning them when done but I'm not condoning or saying you should do that. I actually enjoy this game, it is a fun timewaster. It isn't too hard and it is just east enough to sit down and just play without fear of dying or having a mental breakdown trying to beat a section. Some of the puzzles can be challenging if you are zoning out and just playing(and by challenging I mean you skip over them entirely because you aren't paying attention). Overall I only have 150/1000G on this game and have only really played all of 2 levels fully. I have set aside some time to really put time into the game this coming week. Mostly because I love my little figurines and they miss me....

Kinect Sports: Season 2 is a good game but alas it is kinect and sometimes the tracking is off, but it happens far less than any of the other kinect games I have played. The sports are a little weird but a nice change of pace from the 1st game. You can get nearly all the skiing achievements in 1 playthrough of a course. Some of the football achievements are a pain as dodging can be tedious. The Darts require you to magically become a sniper and learn tactical breathing so you don't accidentally miss but sometimes the target on screen will actually hone in and you are guaranteed to hit that spot on the board which is amazing! I have only gotten 235/1000G but I'm plugging away at it sprained ankles and all...

Battlefield 3 was a rental so I only got to play the campaign and it was fairly short only taking about 6 hours on normal with a couple level mopups to get the missing achievements. I didn't have an online pass and did not want to purchase one so I missed out on the co-op campaign and on the online experience. Which from what I have heard is amazing! I got 390 out of the base 1000G during this playthrough so it wasn't bad...

The new LOTR games is an adventure/RPG game. Earning experience and having a inventory and the like are a must in this game. I have only played a little but it reminds me a little of a more closed version of dragon age with less intensity(at least so far because I'm still in the intro this thing is hellllllllla long so far). And the most pathetic at only 30G/1000G

Family Game Night 4 I busted 420/1000G in only about 30 minutes tonight...it is indeed just like the first one only with less purchasing and being a pain in my asss.

I have also finally hit 225 in my played games...now to finish more than the 17 completions I already have...

In entirely other news, Target is currently having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on video games that lasts until the 5th of this month. It applies to all games 9.99-79.99 and includes new releases as well as pc  games along with the normal console fair. Check it out, you can pick up 2 60 dollar games and get 1 free. That is indeed an epic win(you were gonna buy it eventually anyway right?!?!?!)

RAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, picked up RAGE on tuesday, and I have not put it down for a second. At first I didn't think I was going to enjoy this game, but I am highly addicted to it!

The fallout like feel mixed with the mission system and the amount of unlockable/buyable/buildable items in the game makes this game shine.

Now, as I am playing through getting my achievements I have noticed one thing, areas tend to lock up after you complete the missions associated with them, so if there are any collectibles or schematics/recipes in the area make sure to get them before leaving as you will not be able to get them again.

The JACKPOT! achievement for getting 4 target symbols in the first round of Tombstones is entirely pure luck, it only took me about 45 minutes of spamming the a button to get the achievement to pop(while i got 4 targets during every other round making me want to pull my hair out) but have been reading on the forums about how others spent hours or have yet to get it. Luck is all it is, skills got nothin' to do with it.

Now, I have been farming the hell out of the MUTANT BASH TV, after completing it in the campaign you have the option of playing it again and again and again. Excellent for farming money and ammo from it. You can literally sit down for about 30 or so minutes and easily walk out with enough to fill all your ammo up and buy recipes/schematics plus ingredients to build them.

For the TINKERER and ARTS AND CRAFTS achievements you can easily buy 50 of both the cloth bandages and antiseptic(available at both the Outfitters in Wellspring or at Hagars) and choose the build all option, after exiting the build screen give it a couple seconds and it will pop both or just one for you depending on if you had ARTS AND CRAFTS or not when you started. These will come in handy throughout your playthrough and be a lifesaver in a pinch.

For the achievements PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, THREE BIRDS ONE BOMB CAR, KEEP 'EM COMING, and MECHANOCIDE you can easily build a whole bunch of sentry bots, turrets, and rc bomb cars and use them during your spamming of MUTANT BASH TV and eventually you will get them. I got the first 3 the very first time attempting to get them on the first stage of the tv show. MECHANOCIDE will take you slightly longer being at 100 kills combined on all 3 methods but if dedicated it will only take you a couple hours if that.

I have 19 achievements so far from this game and can easily see myself finishing this up fairly quickly at this pace.

I won't spoil it but the IT'S GOOD achievement will make you chuckle during it, I actually got my ATV stuck on a siderail and threw a grenade to try to dislodge it and wound up disintegrating  it and having to call for a tow in order to get it back shiny and new. Best to do this achievement on Sunday during halftime...

Just some tips and tricks I have discovered along the way, more to come as I play through.

Shane Syndrome over and out going back to my angry Cuprino and its homing missiles....

It's new game tuesday!

So got up this morning and remembered that it is indeed tuesday, which means it is time to hit the stores and pick up the new stuff for the week.

This week I picked up Rage and the new Spiderman Game, Edge of Time. I have just started Rage and so far it feels like a Red Faction game, but time will tell if it truly winds up being that way. It seems like a mix of fallout type backdrops(no shock thanks to bethesda) and your typical homefront/call of duty/red faction 1st person shooter. Being set in the future really isn't a new premise or concept among war games as of late, especially with homefront being as recent as it is, we shall see if they do it well enough to keep my attention for more than 5 or so minutes.

I'm actually kind of  excited for the spiderman game, I have been going back lately and playing them. I didn't care for shattered dimensions, but found myself getting sucked into web of shadows, I like that I could hop around the city and just find collectibles if i wanted to. I didn't have to do crap for anyone. I really enjoy being your lazy neighborhood spiderman who doesn't give a damn about helping you clean up your city because there are spider symbols to be found! The fact that I could choose what missions to do was pretty nice also, I have really been digging on open world games so it was awesome to just sit down and have fun with. I will be popping Edge of Time in later today and time will tell if it turns into a shattered dimensions game or web of shadows or maybe even a mix of both would be acceptable.

Ima kick some assssss and take some names!

So here goes nothing...I have been on a massive gaming spree for about 3 weeks now. I have been crazy motivated and despite everything going on I am making headway. Not only am I finding time to go back and start finishing up games that I have long let sit in my "I'll finish it eventually pile" I am starting new things and finding myself getting sucked in for more than 5 minutes at a time. '

Two games I have started finishing back up is Fable III, and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. I put fable away shortly after it came out because I got burnt out, I could not keep playing it, but I had been on a massive playing spree of fable 2 in the weeks before it came out and i think it finally wore me out. Oblivion I could not get into for the life of me when I first got my xbox, I have the dlc and everything i just couldn't make myself play past the sewer at the beginning, I think it was far too much like fallout which I had just finished on the pc and was trying to start on 360(something I have yet to finish or even think about). Oblivion is a relatively easy game to complete and get the full 1250 on. It was just finding the right time to do it and now is the time!!!!!

I only have to finish up the fighters guild(got fucked out of champion thank god for having 2 save files) the mages guild, shivering isles, and then the main story. Not bad considering I despised this game at first.

I picked up Child of Eden and all I can say is fucking wow! The game is so visually stunning it nearly hurts. I could only play 1 level before having to put it down, I played with kinect instead of a controller and it was sheer amazing, no lag or anything. The game will give you seizures if you happen to be epileptic and will give you a massive headache if you don't because of how much there is to look at on screen. But the premise and gameplay is nearly flawless other than hurting your eyes. The story is refreshing, new and intriguing enough to keep you playing.

I picked up the new X-Men game X-Men: Destiny and it is a typical action adventure with options on what you do. The game is easy and annoying all at the same time and really just makes you want to shank yourself with its cartoony story and annoying camera angles. For 60 dollars this game is a loser, for 20 or less this is an entertaining day or so.

I broke a rule of mine that is long withstanding and played the new Madden. I haven't truly played a madden game since 98, I have 06 on my card but that was mostly sim from franchise mode and some easy unentertaining crap with a friend for about an hour. I actually kind of enjoyed this game, shockingly enough. I was able to easily remember how to play from my knowledge of 98 and the achievements were actually kind of fun, i mean come on kicking a 60+ yard field goal is fucking hilarious to try to accomplish, and rushing for over 231+ yards with one player was a fun challenge. I played about 2 games in exhibition and started a Superstar. This game was a rental and was worth the 2 bucks. I will one day rent it again to finish it up, I only got 365G before shipping it back to Blockbuster.

I have spent alot of time with Fruit Ninja Kinect lately. It came as a download out of my copy of The Gunstringer(which I haven't played yet but willllll very sooon). I completed the WP7 version in February  and I have to say I love this version. I bought 1 dlc pack so far and will more than likely purchase the other 2 also. There is something therapeutic about hacking and slashing fruit especially if you imagine someones head on the screen....oh wait that is a different game, anyhow...

Dead Island is a soul sucker, sheer and simple. Soul. Sucker. I spent days just running around on the island not doing shit. Which was fun but was horrible for my gamerscore. I got 80G from my headless running but this is a game for another time with me, I'm burnt on the zombie craze.

I have been into Age of Empires online, if anyone else out there is playing send me a friend request, we can get some achievements together and do some co-op.

Those are the big time suckers of right now, I'm busy compiling a list of achievements and such that have been earned since my last true post in may....and working on a youtube channel to be launching sometime before christmas hopefully.

Here goes nothing, wish me luck all,

Shane Syndrome (your friendly neighborhood female gamerscore whore)

Eeeeeek, I forgot to remember I had a life outside of work....

Alright so it has officially been 4 months since my last post...my job got freaking hectic, I moved into a new place, and finally got my gaming PC back up and running so Windows Live games are finally back into my gaming options. I bought a ton of retro games and new stuff alike. Still tracking down Harvest Moon on SNES but hey, can't win them all.

Last time I posted I was sitting somewhere around 30 to 31k. A couple days ago I broke 40k and am busting it out and might actually reach 50k within the next month or so. It appears that I have finally fallen into a groove, which isn't really hard considering the amount of games that recently came out and the games that will be coming out within the next couple months. I have collector's editions of Arkham City and Forza 4 already put down but can't seem to get into some of the other big name releases as of yet. I know I will play them I just don't want to throw hundreds of dollars out there until I make my to be played list and my mop up list a little shorter. I have fallen into this habit of picking a game up for an hour or so popping about 60 to 200g worth of achievements on it and then shoving it in a dark corner to rot in my game library.

I have been going back and playing older war games mostly due to their cheapness and abundance. I mean come on, I can walk out of gamestop with 7 or 8 games for like 50 bucks and not feel horrible especially considering I can always return them....

All in all the past few months were a little bit of a grind but things seem to be smooth sailing as of now and I'm feeling alright. Bring it on quarter 4 I'm ready for all you have to throw at me.

Long Time, No Post......o.O

Anyhow I have barely touched any of my gamefly games which is horrible and pretty stupid on my part but oh welllls. I have bought a ton of games recently for super cheap which is a mega win. Now I just need to be playing them and finishing them for it to actually be worth it.

Well onto the main part and reason for the blog post!!! The achievements!!!!!

Earthworm Jim HD:
Blast it! for 5G

Total: 5G

I know I have barely touched this game and it is mostly because I have barely touched my phone lately other than for calls and have barely had any free time at work or anything. I prefer my controller when I am at home.

Rock of the Dead:

Out of the Groove

So lately I have been feeling a little disjointed gaming wise. No real direction or anything and I haven't been on my game. The only thing I have been playing consistently is Halo: Reach. And even then not all that much.

I picked up Earthworm Jim for WP7 on deal of the week and the controls are annoying but it is a well done game. It isn't something I can put alot of time into in one go but it something that is fun for me to pick up for a level at a time.

I finally officially bought Halo: Reach from Gamefly and am awaiting for the case and manual to arrive. I also bought the 1st Jack Pack for You Don't Know Jack and started playing it. I'm only 1 episode in, mostly because I hate Cookie Masterson.

For some reason Gamefly is sending me my 30th choice on the list, Rock of the Dead. Me thinks that I will start putting maybe 5 things in my queue in order to get more recent games first. It is frustrating when they send me game number like 45 when there are so many others before it, there is a reason it is game number 45 and not game number 1...it is making me really despise Gamefly and making me want to downgrade my plan. It wasn't like this when I started my membership, it is like they stopped trying, thinking I'm hooked on them or something.

I still have to start on Singularity, I have the guide that they gave out on the USB stick from Pre-order...more like 6 of them....but still can't find the want to play it. I know I should start it but I have been avoiding it like the black plague.

I have been searching my card and seeing all of these partial games and it is a little daunting to think of all the time I need to put in to finish it up, I know I should I just don't have the patience for it.

Anyway onto the real reason for the post and update...the achievements!

Pretty sorry amount the past few days I have been working alot and this coming week I am working even more, couple that with sickness and all the stress and it equals alot of me sleeping or not being at home and very little gaming. Hopefully, I will be able to start to put some big numbers up again soon. At least I haven't come to a total standstill yet.

Achievement Haul....o.O

So I have been pretty busy with everything going on in my life the past couple days and have only been able to put a trivial amount of time into gaming. Sad as that may be.

I recently got into Dragon Age: Origins pretty hardcore. I bought the game awhile back and played it maybe 2 times for about an hour each session. But I got into a mood for an RPG and didn't want to play any of the other RPG's in my collection and found this sitting on the shelf behind everything else. I popped it in and really got into the gameplay this time around. I have sunk about 8 or so hours into over the past 2 nights. I am most likely going to finish this up along with all the DLC and buy Awakenings and then go ahead and venture into Dragon Age 2 a game I thought I would never buy...BioWare 1, my wallet -60...

Achievements gained from You Don't Know Jack:
Back Taxes for 40G
Perfect Attendance for 73G

Total Achievements for You Don't Know Jack: 2
Total Gamerscore for You Don't Know Jack: 113G

I finally played through all 73 episodes and got all the wrong answers of the game. I only have 2 achievements left in the main 1000 and the DLC. I'm gonna let this one sit for a couple days and decide whether or not I want to send it back to Gamefly or keep it for a little while longer and actually finish the game.

Achievements gained from Pocketbike Racer:
Standard Gold for 10G

Total Achievements for Pocketbike Racer: 1
Total Gamerscore for Pocketbike Racer: 10G

This game is fun but only for short periods of time and wears on me pretty fast. Since I only have tournaments in local play to finish I will take my time and just kind of play when the mood strikes me since I actually bought this game outright.

Achievements gained from Uno HD for WP7:
Two Card for 5G
Four Card for 5G
Reverse Card for 5G
Skip Card for 5G
The double UNO for 5G
Wild Card for 5G
Win 1 st Tournament for 10G
Win 3 rd Tournament for 10G
Cool Winner for 5G
Win 5 th Tournament for 10G
Win 7th Tournament for 10G
Win 10 th Tournament for 10G
Win 11 th Tournament for 10G

Win 13 th Tournament for 15G
Win 14 th Tournament for 15G
Win 15 th Tournament for 30G
Win 1 st Easy for 5G
Win 1 st Normal for 10G

Total Achievement for UNO: 19
Total Gamerscore for UNO: 185G

So I picked this up on the Deal of the Week and only need to win the 1st round of a Hard quick play game, I just find myself UNO'd out for the time being maybe when I am bored at work on of these days I will finish this up.

Achievements gained from Scene It? BOS!:
Soft Focus for 20G

Total Achievements for Scene It? BOS!: 1
Total Gamerscore for Scene It? BOS!: 20G

I decided to play a little Scene It while I was bored one night and actually managed to get a string of Distorted Reality questions I knew the answer to...shocking

Achievements gained from Halo: Reach:
Lemme Upgrade Ya: for 10G

Total Achievements for Halo: Reach: 1
Total Gamerscore for Halo: Reach: 10G

I rented this from Gamefly finally to start to finish this up. I actually hated Halo but have been finding myself getting into the story and the gameplay finally. I'm gonna buy this from Gamefly for like maybe 15 dollars compared to Gamestop who is charging nearly 50...I would say this is a steal, especially considering the Gamefly copy they sent me has barely any scratches on it at all and I will get the original game case and manual.

Achievements gained from Dragon Age: Origins:
Pilgrim for 10G
Easy Lover for 10G
Educated for 15G

Total Achievements for Dragon Age: Origins: 3
Total Gamerscore for Dragon Age: Origins: 35G

Total number of Achievements: 27
Total Gamerscore: 373G

It is a decent amount considering the majority of my time has been spent on a time consuming RPG which will require me to play multiple playthroughs.

Completed Game #13

So I finally couldn't stand it anymore and felt the need to finish up Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian. It was hellishly easy and a good lazy day game for me. I finished up the last 3 or so levels of it last night in one sitting. The boss battle was almost a joke.

So now I have 1000/1000G
And a 100% completion for it.

Achievement Difficulty: 2/10
There are a couple challenges that are annoying due to game mechanics and can be a pain to complete, other than that it is smooth sailing.

Time to complete: 4 or so hours
It took me a little under 4 hours to actually finish this game mostly because I missed a collectible in a level and had to go back and find it. If you don't miss anything in any level you could easily finish this in around 3 to 31/2 hours. Missing collectibles or awards will certainly set you back some time.

I bought this game for 7.99 so it was worth it in the end. Gamefly will give me 2.50 for it as of now, but I don't have any other games to get rid of right now so the shipping isn't worth it to me. I'm almost scared what the other used retailers will give right now seeing as how they take stuff for 2.00 and then sell it for around 15-17...

So Much For Getting Stuff Accomplished

Well I have 1 more day off this week and so far it has been a pretty big fail. I have had a lot of time taken up by 1 game in particular, You Don't Know Jack. I'm nearing the end maybe 10 or so episodes left in the main game. But there is DLC and I'm not sure if I am strong enough to tackle that. I might just wind up sending it back to Gamefly and just re-renting it later after some well deserved time off.

I started back up on Night at the Museum 2 and had to go back and mop up an achievement from a previous level because of a flying level that I didn't quite have the hang of the 1st time through. I wasn't really paying attention when I first went through and missed 2 wrenches.

I was trying to complete Big Bumpin' but every-time I have a party lined up people don't show up or people decide that they don't want to play anymore. No messages or anything. At least have the courtesy to message to change days or whatnot. Grrrrr. Whatever, I may just start searching for some other partners for this game.

I purchased Sonic & Knuckles for 120 microsoft points since they have a SEGA super sale going on currently. I might pick up a couple other titles before the sale is over 200 points for Sonic games is a good deal and takes me back to playing on the Genesis. A few other SEGA titles are tempting me like Shinobi for 200 points and OutRun. I'm not sure yet though. I have quite a few other arcade games to finish and start before I start playing new stuff so I think I should wait but they are so darn cheap that I really think I should buy them.

The Sunday Haul....

I had a little more time today for gaining some achievements. Not much more but it was better than the average 30 or so minutes I usually wind up with between work and family.

Went out to lunch with my mom, and saw my partner in crime, those things take up alot of time that I could spend gaming but they are worth it so I'm not complaining.

All in all it wasn't the worst day I have had. Lately, I have kind of been in a slump, I have been very antsy and not really able to focus on games for a long period of time. No one game has been holding my interest for longer than maybe 20 to 30 minutes tops. It is a miracle when I actually play a single game title for around 45 minutes.

I got lucky and someone responded to my post on the forums about PocketBike Racer so I was able to get the online done.

Completed Another.

I actually finished this game on 4/12/2011 but I haven't really remembered to post about it. I picked up Monopoly for WP7 when it was on deal of the week. For 2.99 it wasn't too horrible. Much better than the 4.99 I would have paid. In fact, I actually had been putting this game off purchase wise because of the price.

It was an easy 200G and only took me about 3 hours. The only achievement that I had any issue with was rolling 3 sets of triples. It is more about luck than anything else. You can get all of these achievements by playing a single game with 2 human players it doesn't matter which human player gains the achievement it will still pop on whoever's account is attached to the phone.

So all in all, this game is a quick and easy 200G and was well worth the 2.99 price tag. For 4.99 it will have to depend on how much you happen to like Monopoly.

Friday Night Into Saturday Morn o.O

So I got off work last night and came home to play some games. I fired up the xbox and found a friend on playing a game I have been trying to get the achievements on for quite sometime. Luckily he was up for some gaming.

We started online finishing up some games for him and then finishing quite a bit for me. I switched to another profile to help him get a particularly annoying achievement since I didn't want to kill off all my progress towards a couple achievements. Luckily I have my best friend and partner in crime's gamertag on my xbox and she was willing to let me use it for a round of play.

So not alot of achievements from around 4 or so hours of play but it was a fun and enjoyable experience.

Achievements gained from You Don't Know Jack:
Beat a Winner for 40G
Always a Bridesmaid for 10G
Lose to a Loser for 15G

Achievements gained from CarneyVale: Showtime on WP7:
Over the Top for 10G
Up the Tempo for 10G

Total Gamerscore over Friday into Saturday Morning:
85G
A pretty sorry haul but I didn't have much time for playing.

I picked up a few games today after getting off work, mostly old useless junk:
Big Bumpin'
Pocketbike Racer
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

These will join my endless list of games to be played, the list is countless and a little daunting....o.O

I'm sitting on 3 days in a row off this coming week so hopefully I will be able to put up some serious points and finish alot of loose ends I have hanging around on my card.

Night At The Museum?!?!

I picked up Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian awhile back at Best Buy brand new for about 7 bucks. I hadn't really seen it and when I had it had been overpriced due to lack of people trading it in....probably because people didn't buy the game. It's tagged at Night at the Museum 2 on my achievement list though....confuzzling but at least it isn't glitchy.

I finally got around to playing this tonight, mostly because I wanted something fairly mindless that wouldn't require me to actually have skill of any sort, no answers to trivia, no magical headshot to pull off, nothing. Just a very straight forward incredibly linear kids game. The achievements are very straight forward and the game even tells you how many are in each level along with collectibles etc, which is nice because one of the achievements is collecting all the collectibles (I tend to hate these, but this one doesn't seem too bad).

I only played 1 level tonight and will most likely string this game out over multiple sessions when I am feeling burnt out.

I acquired four achievements tonight:
Magnetic Personality for 20G
Mint Condition for 20G
Flashback for 20G
Hey! Dum-dum! for 10G

Overall this game stands at 70/1000

I'm only 10 percent of the way done thus far but I can't complain considering i only played for about 30 minutes.

Achievement Whores everywhere should have played or should plan on playing this game, its easy, straightforward and mindless, it's great for when you just don't feel like putting a ton of effort into gaming and want to chill out and relax.

Gamefly, You Have Failed Me...

My gamefly queue has once again failed me...this week it sent me Singularity, Ninety Nine Nights, and You Don't Know Jack.  Now, I admit I totally wanted to play at least 2 of these games when I put them on the list but that was also close to 3 months ago....besides BulletStorm was on the top of my list....and now that I have them I really could not care less.

I have played quite a bit of You Don't Know Jack and in all honesty it is annoying as can be, Cookie Masterson's voice pisses me off. Don't know why at this point it just does. And the cinematics at the start of every question are starting to wear thin since they never change. Also, the ragtag humor is a stretch most of the time. So in short it was fun when I started but now I just hate this game with a fire. I will still finish it but I won't enjoy the rest of the achievements because of all the little things about this game that annoy me.

It was fun for about 10 rounds.  However, I can see that if you are playing with alot of friends or something how it could be enjoyable and fun. Alone not so much. On Xbox live people have a tendency of quitting out if they happen to be losing which is just freaking awesome if you are trying to get the online achievements....not.

I have a party set to play online this weekend, so hopefully things will be a breeze.

1st Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage...

Its 9/13/2010 I have been laboring on Fight Night Round 3 for about a day and a half. I rented it from work because the ex-achievement whore I worked with said it would be an easy 1000 that I shouldn't pass up.

With illegal blows on every fight was just a button mashing good time, but it wore thin after oh say 8 hours. I wanted to snap this disc in half it was infuriating. I enjoyed the game from a normal gameplay point of view, i played a few rounds without illegal blows on, and found it to be a fun experience overall.

I hadn't completed a game since that short lived Avatar encounter and was hungry for another completed game to add to the list. I stayed up all night to finish it so I could return it to work the next day to check out a different game, I think being the idiot I was, I decided to punish myself by renting Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009....but that horrendous experience is a tale for another post.

This game turned my love of gamerscore into a tumultuous marriage that I wouldn't dream of filing on. It made me a true whore. Boxing made me a whore, never thought I would ever say that...oh well there is a first time for everything.

The First Completed Game Ever...

Soo, this is a look back at that first fateful 1000. The shameless and shameful all at the same time Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth. On a totally unrelated note I always have wondered what is with all the colons in that game name. Anyways, back to the real point of this post...

This game was what truly started my whoring experience if you will. It took me all of maybe 5 minutes to gain the full 1000 (including starting the console, inserting the disc, and starting the game) sad I know. But it was like crack. Gaming fueled achievement crack. I managed to gain points without doing a single thing other than hitting one button over and over and over again while standing against a fence. 1st level and I was already done.

I finished this game on July 4th, so instead of firing off explosives at my neighbors houses or tiny children, I was sitting on the comfort of my trusty bed saving a fictional world from possible fire disaster. In reality I was just making my local fire departments night a little easier.

It started an addiction, sad but true.

Round 1

I've always been a gamer. I started when I was 3 with my brother's Super NES, and I got hooked. Through the years I went through numerous consoles most of which just so happened to have SONY emblazoned upon them. I never did get into the Xbox craze until I started working at a well known gaming retailer...Now I admit I held out quite awhile and ignored the 360 with gusto and loved my PS3. But finally after much teasing from the majority of my employees and a vast number of my customers I broke down and bought a 360.

In short, I got hooked, hard. I fell in love with achievements, from the second I got one I needed more. I got addicted. I started in July of 2010 and I'm going to be pushing 30,000 soon. I figured I should chronicle my journey based on what I played, loved, hated, despised etc. I want to play it all, and I want to remember it too. So viola! Here I am. A gamer girl on a mission, to play it all and achieve it all. One game at a time, one achievement at a time.
